Through Christ’s Eyes
by John Berezniak - Under 10 Contest Winner

Christ sees people loving, caring, helping, and sharing.

If Christ sees no loving, caring, helping, sharing, He will

forgive them.  Christ loves us all.  He made all of us in a

special way.  God will see us in heaven one day, so let’s

enjoy our life to repent and pray.

Through Christ’s Eyes
By Kristen Berezniak - 4-6th Grade Contest Winner

Through Christ’s Eyes He will see,
The future that He holds for me.

And every single place I’ll be,
He’ll always keep His eye on me.

No matter what language, color, or shade,
Never will you be betrayed.

Very deeply in my heart,
My faith will be the biggest part.

Your Look Is All They’ll Need
By Nevena Paripovic - 10-12th Grade Contest Winner

What do you feel when you stare into his eyes?
Those outstretched arms
Begging for compromise

Who does he turn to?
Who will help him out?
How many children are suffering like him?

Through God’s eyes we are all the same
Different smiles, looks, languages, and names
But underneath we share the same fears
All the insecurities that pour out with the tears
Reach out a hand for any of those who plead
Because odds are
Your look is all they’ll need.

Poverty, starvation, killings, gore and blood
Falling in the children’s hearts with a loud thud
Witnessing a war stays unspeakable forever
No matter where, it’s locked down like lever

Throought God’s eyes we are all the same
Different smiles, looks, languages, and names
But underneath we share the same fears
All the insecurities that pour out with the tears
Reach out a hand for any of those who plead
Because odds are
Your look is all they’ll need

Next time he takes a look at you
His pleading large brown eyes will show him through and through
Pick him up and place him somewhere safe
Where bombs and shrapnel won’t get near his face

Through God’s eyes we are all the same
Different smiles, looks, languages, and names
But underneath we share the same fears
All the insecurities that pour out with the tears
Reach out a hand for any of those who plead
Because odds are
Your look is all they’ll need.
