1.  FOCA Junior Department Announces Theme and Logo Design Contest

My Friends in The Faith

“My Friends in The Faith” has been selected as the FOCA Junior theme for 2012 and will be used to link junior events and initiatives for the upcoming year. To start the ball rolling, the Junior FOCA is holding a logo design contest for our 2012 theme. The winning logo will be used throughout the year to create instant visual identification of our organization and our initiatives. Orthodox youth, under 18 years of age, who are communicants in a parish or mission of a canonical Orthodox Church in North America are eligible to submit their original logo design for consideration. A well-designed logo creates an identity, conveys values, improves image and motivates action.   The contest deadline is February 29, 2012.  Submissions may be sent to Laura Johnson at: 10-05 Berdan Ave., Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 or emailed to ljfaj@optonline.net.  Look for more details below.

Logo Contest Details

 FOCA Logo Design Contest Guidelines and Selection Criteria: The purpose of the contest is to design a logo for the National Fellowship of Orthodox Christians In America (FOCA) Junior theme for 2012, "My Friends in The Faith." The logo will be used online and in print and must appropriately represent an Orthodox Christian youth organization. It must resize easily and transfer well in both black & white and color.

How to Enter

1. Entries must be submitted to Laura Johnson at: 10-05 Berdan Ave., Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 or emailed to ljfaj@optonline.net.


2. You must include your name, age, address, phone number, email address, and parish information.


3. The deadline for entries is February 29, 2012.

Submission Guidelines

1. Must be able to scale to any size without losing quality


2. Must be original work of contestant


3. No part of the design may be protected by copyright laws


4. Designs must not be larger than 8.5” x 11”.
