2025 National Summer Sports (Golf) Tournament Information

Dear F.O.C.A. Golfers and friends,

The 2025 National Summer Sports Tournament – Golf Tournament – will be held Friday and Saturday August 22 and 23. The Weirton “O” Club Chapter #58 host.

GOLF
Golfing will be held on Friday August 22 at Ponderosa Golf Course in Hookstown, PA. Friday tee times will start at approximately 11:30 am. On Saturday August 23, we will be golfing at Mountaineer's Woodview Golf Course just outside Weirton, WV. Saturday tee time will be a shotgun start at 2:30 pm. CHANGE THIS YEAR
We will be replacing the 4-person scramble with a 2-person scramble. Two one-day
events will be held, with either two males, two females, or one male and one female golfer
participating. Entry deadline is August 2, 2025.

HOTEL
The Holiday Inn – Weirton has a rate of $150.00 for two queen or one king. Call the hotel directly at 304-723-5522 and ask for group code FGT. Rooms are limited for that weekend so get your reservations soon.

EVENTS
The Awards Dinner will be held at the Mountaineer Golf Course on Saturday immediately following the golf. The buffet dinner will include Maple Glazed Pork Chops, Hot Italian Sausage, Marinated Flank Steak, Baked Potato Bar, and green beans with mushrooms and bacon. The dinner will cost $35.00.

CHURCH SERVICES
Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday Morning at St. Nicholas Church time TBA.
Divine Liturgy will be held Sunday Morning at 9:30 am.
