FOCA Room and Archives at St. Tikhon's Seminary in South Canaan, PA

As our outgoing national president Basil Kochan had informed us earlier this year, St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary – with the blessing and efforts of His Eminence Archbishop Michael, seminary rector, and Father John Parker, seminary dean – has graciously provided a room for use by the Fellowship in the seminary’s administrative building. Almost directly across from Vladyka Michael’s office and just down the hallway from the shrine of St. Nikolai Velimirovic, it is basically a sitting room with a sofa, chairs, coffee table and cabinet. Displayed are various FROC/FOCA memorabilia, photos and artifacts. When visiting St. Tikhon’s, be sure to stop by the FOCA room and enjoy the historical displays. 

On August 27, 2026, national FOCA president Nicholas Ressetar and Matushka Theodora Ressetar, FOCA life member, visited the new FOCA room on their way to the annual back-to-school dinner sponsored by the seminary. This year’s dinner was held in conjunction with the Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry which honored Father John Kowalczyk and Father Stephen Powley for their service as prison ministry chaplains. Among those present were Michael Herzak, past national FOCA president and seminary board chair emeritus, Deacon Dr. Michael Wusylko, past national FOCA president and seminary board member, and his wife Matushka Mary Wusylko; and Dimitri Ressetar, president of the Harrisburg “O” Club, #199.  

Earlier that evening, Father Theodore Boback, past national FOCA spiritual advisor, and his wife, Matushka Hope, gave Nick Ressetar a tour of the Fellowship archives room on the seminary administrative building’s ground floor.  As Father Ted reported at the recent national convention in Cleveland, the Boback’s have been going through the many files, booklets, photos, etc. of the FOCA’s nearly 100 year history which had been in storage following the sale of the national administrative building some years ago. We thank them for organizing the archives and St. Tikhon’s Seminary for giving the Fellowship the space to store them. Please consider donating items to the archives and helping the Boback’s.
